I didn't lose one with a 223 lol. And neither has anyone I hunt with.

A shot through lungs, heart or head and at 2500+ fps is going to drop most any creature out there... My Mini 14 likes the American Eagle 50 gr, kill a doe last year at 250 yards... made all of 10 feet...
