It has to do with the required "drop test". Both my Python and Anaconda break at roughly 5.5 pounds single action. Others may find that acceptable but not me. I prefer a SA break at 3.5 pounds.
I freely admit to being somewhat of a trigger snob.
Supposedly there was a slight compromise in the single action to accomplish the amazing double action. I have to admit, the double action is quite impressive.

Im in the same boat. Cant decide between them.
I doubt you are buying one of those for a carry gun, so I would go with the 6".

I owned three Pythons back in day when cops still carried revolvers. The only thing I miss about them is what they would bring today. 🤣
