It probably helped that I was hunting a piece of hill ground with good cover and food plots next to several hundred acres of flooded river bottom timber in sight of my stand 8-)

Watched three does in Cumberland county feeding. One kept looking behind her but I never saw a buck come out. She fed for about 45 min in front of me.

Union County Killed a doe yesterday that was acting like she was being pushed but never seen anything behind. 4:30 this afternoon had a 4 pt with 3 does in the front yard they were just picking together.

I went to a piece of public land yesterday in East TN and was very surprised at the lack of buck sign. I talked to a few hunters and they all had similar results. Just not much action that I can tell yet.

I hunted other day in Rutherford and seen bucks cruising but not as much as i usually see this time of year.

I'm hunting Bradley/Hamilton line. Had small 6 pushing a doe past me on Sunday. Have also had him chasing doe on camera few days before that. Thursday I had an nice young 8 at ten yards but passed. He came into doe call. My two buddies had bucks under them at same time as me but were also alone. I think they have broken up and are cruising. Next 2 weeks or so should be good. Hope this helps

Yesterday I saw 4 does.
One around 11:00 AM, one around 2:00 PM and two came out right in front of my stand (15 yards) at 4:30PM.
Around 4:45PM, a spike buck came through. He wasn't too cautious or anything and was steady moving towards the back of the property.
Today I didn't see a single deer from hunting right when the rain stopped till dark.
On a side note, I have found some insane rubs. By insane, I mean some of the largest rubs I have ever seen in my life on trees that are as big around as my leg. So I know there's a huge deer in these woods, but actually getting a shot on him is going to be challenging. I'll try to post pics of the rubs later. You guys will be shocked by them.

lol I wish. This week was my vacation for bow hunting in Missouri, but I tagged out within 30 minutes of the hunt on a nice 8 point. So I left on Monday and planned to do some scouting, found this stuff, and I've been hunting nearly every hour of daylight this week

Well I shot a giant at 3:00pm today he was cruising cutting doe trails. Snort wheezed and he came in at 18 yards in the thick. I'm worried I may have hit a twig and deflected the arrow. He was slightly quartering to me. Arrow had about 6" penetration and broke off. The funny thing is is that the fletching end and the broadhead end we're laying right next to each other....? Blood trail was very minimal for 30 yard then nothing. Very small bubbles in the blood but it wasn't bright lung blood. I honestly have no idea what happened. I'm gonna check back in the morning.

Looks like a shot that happen to me when I was in Kansas. Arrow clipped a twig and went in front shoulder of a giant. Broke off about 6-7 inches from the Broadhead. Some type of blood but I could tell it hit towards the front of the shoulder. Good luck in your search

Mostly just seeing little bucks working the scrapes and rubbing. No chasing and no big boy sightings yet. This is in Stewart Co Thursday 11/8.
I've said this for years on this site. If one provides an update or anything really hunting related, the general area of TN (SW corner, southern middle TN, county, etc) needs to be mentioned to make it relevant. I don't ask others specific questions, but I usually ask which part of the state to get an idea if their report is relevant to my area.GreyGoose":3uwrmegz said:

The cooler temps are getting the younger bucks energized, but the mature bucks, and most importantly, the does control the schedule and they aren't ready yet. Last night into this AM my cell cams which are on deer trails showed bucks chasing does in Rutherford. Some decent some small.
I hunted Wilson this morning and it didn't seem to be happening yet on my brothers place.
I hunted my place tonight knowing they were running. I wasn't in the stand 20 minutes and had a doe pop out on the power line and right behind her was an 8 pt. Not huge, probably wouldn't have shot him, but they were 250+ yds out. They crossed over and about 45 minutes later a doe ran out (maybe the same one?) but nothing was behind her. Later I saw two fawns, who's mother was with them last Sunday, bu they were alone today. It appears to be starting up at my place.

Nice 8 pt following a doe in my back yard yesterday and today. Next three weeks going to be good. Saw two big boys together end of last week.every day you can be in the woods around here in November is promising. Middle ten - williamson cty

I was hunting in Hamilton county yesterday and had deer running/chasing before daylight. About 7:15 had my biggest buck I've ever seen come out running and dropped him, big 11 point with a neck swelled up like a tree trunk. I didn't "see" many deer but I could definitely tell it was multiple deer chasing in the dark and I didn't stick around long enough to see if anything bigger was roaming.
