Good Morning Guys!

I remember a couple of years ago we had a thread on here that everyone would use to update rut activity/deer movement on their properties and i really enjoyed it. So with that being said, what is everyone seeing on their place so far? I haven't been able to get in the woods yet but from my trail cameras it looks like my bucks are still somewhat grouped up and mostly moving at night.

Can't wait to hear what everyone else is seeing! Best of luck this weekend with the smoke poles!

Dropped off my nephews deer at the Processor on Sunday and he had been told the last 3 bucks brought in were all chasing. We had a different experience. We saw a young buck and a group of does, and he showed no interest. White County

little bucks chasing pestering does, does not in. Older bucks heavy on the feed at night bulking up for the rut in 2 weeks. 2.5 and 3.5's working scrape lines, mostly at night, but some during the day as well. Starting to see a lot of fighting on trail camera pics when a couple bucks cross paths.

. Today I sat a large piece of timber with no agriculture around. Had rubs and scrapes littered across the property but they seemed concentrated at the 1500' elevation. Had a 3.5yo 120" 8 point come in and check a scrape at 9:30am. North Davidson Co

Seen more rubs and scrapes this year on the farm I hunt in Montgomery county than I ever have. Gonna carry a couple cams to put over them on Saturday. Forgot to carry them when I carried my boys on the youth hunt. We saw quite a few does, but only 2 small bucks. They all got a pass.
Didn't see any chasing. I think it will get fired up in about 10 days.

I've walked a good bit here in SW TN, and just now seeing a few scrapes and some rubs here and there, with the majority of the rubs being good ones. We are always 14 or so days behind northern middle TN, so we still have some time.

I hunt the same area as Andy and second what he said however I also heard bucks fighting ( sounded like good bucks too) and saw one mature buck accompanied by a group of does. So there is some pre rut activity although spotty. I think there's always more going on than we see, just like teenagers.

I was up in south central IL for a short hunt, and was very disappointed in the lack of buck sign I found. My landowners have seen some mature deer on their feet during daylight hours while finishing their harvest, but there was very little in the way of scrapes and rubs at this point.

I did notice some mature bucks starting to show up in kill pics over the wknd from the Midwest. Likely wont be long up there. Around here in East TN I have noticed an uptick in buck sign but still not much change in daylight movement of mature bucks for me. My Son is however hunting couple farms not far from Paris TN and he has saw 2 of his mature bucks last 30 mins of light over wknd. I just hope we have some good cold weather in the next few weeks.

Interesting you mention this. I have a buddy in Pike County at the moment and he said the farm is void of buck sign compared to years past.

Seen a slight increase in road kill but camera activity in both Williamson and Marshall counties are not showing any satellite bucks roaming. Getting close!

The cold days i see a lot of deer some chasing. Older bucks not so much. Hoping this front this weekend get them moving. Ill put some doe in heat in a scent dripper in the morning on a scrape and see what that does.

If you see a doe in the morning better start watching. He might be right on her or he could be 30 minutes behind her.
I Had a nice 8 pt chasing a doe in the back yard this morning. He never looked up if she would have stopped he would have run his nose up her ...
He looked to maybe be a 3 1\2 year old.

Saw a 6pt buck mid day today in my yard for the first time since last years rut. Usually only see them around my house in prime rut season them they disappear for a year. Wilson county.

Just saw a 90inch 8 and a 120inch 8 cruising and pushing a doe in a field here by the house in Rhea County.

It was a nice evening in the Deerwoods. Movement was slow but I did have a 3 1/2 year-old 10 point come cruising through the saddle I was in that connects two Ridgetop's with good bedding. The big buck still don't seem to be up and moving on their feet as willingly.

Saw a 2.5yr old 8 pt hit this morning in West cheatham county on my way to work. It was on highway 12 just past half pone creek. The vehicle didn't fair to well, but the front hazard lights were still working.

Pretty interesting sequence of pictures. Have a cell cam set on a deer trail.

First pic 7:01 back left corner is doe. Pic #2 can't see the antlers but I'm going to guess it's a buck in tow. Rutherford county.

Thanks for the update. Here in SW TN, we are still two weeks behind your area, generally speaking.

Went out yesterday after work to move a camera to a "without fail" scrape line. Not a scrape yet. Checked a couple other traditional scrape lines and nothing there either, so I'm hoping things are running late this year. Usually I get tons of scrapes in early October, but not one yet.
