.17 are these good coyote killers or too small????

I'm not too confident using the .17 HMR on coyotes. It can work but if I'm not 100% convinced I just can't use it.

The .17 Remington is another story. I love the .17 Remington as a varmint caliber especially if you want minimal damage to the hide.

Better make good shots with a small caliber, they will killem but you don't have alot of room for error. I like a .223 with 70gr bullets for yotes. I have shot foxes with the 17hmr, it kills them but they run back into the brush. The bigger calibers tends to anchor them in their tracks.

If you put the bullet where you need to it will. Got this gal at 100 yards. 17gr vmax.

I normally use my 204 or 223 for calling though.
