Ok the way I understand it you buy the livescope, and then you will also need a depth finder for it to display on?
Or does it all come together?

What is the cheapest way to get on and get it running?

Been watching kayak catfish and he has one now and has been showing it alot.
I am thinking I would really like one.

Buy livescope(transducer, blackbox and cords)then you have to have a unit. Some places sell bundles with tge livescope and a unit, the 93uhd is probally the cheapest bundle.Think they have a rebate on the livescope till the end of the yr,$200 i think.

this is going to be your cheapest option, this is who i order from for garmin or hodges marine. never have seen anyone beat their prices when they have them in stock. unless you can find a used 1222 for a descent price.

better not wait too long, sale stocks only last about a week or two for garmin now.

Get the 1222. I know a bunch of guys that Livescope. The ones that went cheap with a 9 or 10 inch screen quickly sold it and bought a 1222.
Yep,but if i was on a budget the 93 is just fine.I had the regular, not the uhd version and the biggest complaint was sunlight viewable.I made a sun shade for my 93 unit and made it alot better.

I have ordered from hodges, bbg marine, boe marine, russell marine, etc. ,i usually go with the best price. Most companys make them advertise map priceing only,if you call them you can get it cheaper if you call around. Some that sell cheaper will actually give you a receipt to match the map price even though you paid less,my ultrex cost $200 less than the receipt that was map priceing.Anyone fixing to spend alot of money needs to call around, one place wont be the cheapest everytime i bet.

If you already have Hummingbirds, might look at the Mega Live. Just came out and is in its growing pain phase, but is cheaper if you have a compatible unit. Had mine around 2 months and really like it. Will only get better with updates to the software.

I bought the 1022 unit with a raised pedestal about knee height. I can't imagine anything much better, I could see which way my Bobby garland was facing the other day 20' away. Having said that, no doubt bigger is better I just couldn't see the several hundred more dollars for the 2" more. The key is the raised mount at or above knee level, it's closer to you.

I have a 10" Garmin on my boat and it's plenty big enough. All I use it for is livescope. Bought it from Hennessey Outdoors. I have 2 Humminbird Helix 12s and a Lowrance HDS as well on my boat. If I were gonna use the Garmin for a different setting such as sonar/down-side scan I would buy a 12 but just for livescope 10 is plenty.

yeah pretty much. thanksgiving week he could have got one from russel marine for 1800 bucks after rebate, but they didnt last long. larger outlets carry higher volume.

a couple of years ago i called brian about a humminbird di unit i was going to install for a guy. picked it up at hodges for 200 bucks less than brian quoted me.

id definately call around because they may have some of the gt54 units left stuck back that they are not advertising. the units they are advertising now for 2500 bucks are the newer 93sv with the upgraded gt56 xducer. doesnt mean a hill of beans with livescope as the mfd's are the exact same.

on non sale items it pays to call around, some of the time theyll discount the msrp, especially on trolling motors. i imagine the margins are high enough on tm's for a descent discount.

Cheapest way to get livescope is to buy the LVS 32 transducer and find a used 93sv+ (it has to be a + or UHD model graph).
Then make your own transducer pole to mount on your boat.
$1499 for LVS 32 (it comes with the black box and transducer), $600 for 93sv+, another $40-50 for the pole.

Actually found (was shown) a used system from someone that I trust 100%.
Gonna end up alot cheaper than I would have had to pay.
In fact probably wouldn't have gotten one without his kind offer.
Will post results after the first of the year when I get it and get it installed.

The Bass Tank has a bundle deal right now for $2k after a rebate. Probably won't find a better deal for all new components. They have other bundles with 10" and 12" screens too.

loli wouldnt pay 600 for a plus since the 93 uhd's are on sale for 699.
