Started new custom rod business/project

Hello to all. I just started DroomVanger Custom Rods. I know there are a lot of great builders around but give us shout when you get ready for a new rod. We'll build pretty much anything but fly rods. Definitely let me know on the advertising.

I'm wanting a one piece, 7 1/2' rod that is in between light and medium action in a spinning rod.
It has to be sensitive enough to pick up the lightest bite yet stout enough to break their neck when I set the hook.
Yes, I set the hook on a bream. I got to get a good hook set to get the barb on the hooks I use through the roof of their mouth.

RCH a basic rod starts around $90. There are so many variables that I listen to what the customer wants and then I will let them know the price. If I have to ship it you can add about $30 to the finished price.

Do you make your own blanks or what brands do you use?

I wish I had the capital to create my own blanks but no where near that level yet. I can get/build on about anything but primarily building on Bushido, Phenix and MHX.

I really listen to what the customer wants and find the best blank that matches the technique.

Have you made any rods with cork grips?

Yes actually most of my builds are cork and I prefer working with it over the EVA or Winn material.

Very nice - great option and may need to get with you when we get closet to Spring.
