Had another text book hunt this morning very close to where dad killed yesterday.

I had sat up on one that was having a gobbling fit on the roost, and then after I started calling later on another one from further off moved in quickly gobbling the whole way.

The first bird would gobble, and then as soon as he finished, he would follow it up with another 3rd of a gobble. He did that several times. It was almost like he had choked on the gobble and was able to cough the remainder of it out.

Anyway, they ended up together, and both of them came in finally after the 90 yard stand off that lasted what seemed like an eternity.

Another light weight two year old.

Good work, looks like they liked the "hot hen" talk from Mr. Sneed's slate.

It is always my first choice to start the "conversation". The soft stuff got their attention.

They then got a little dose of the Crystal Mistress thrown in, and then I finished up with the Red Wasp mouth call for in close clucks, etc., and just in case I needed to get nasty :D !
