Really like their qb. He is poised and accurate.

Vols doing a good job, trying to give the game away 
Is it too much to ask to catch a pass that hits you in the hands? The FG was just too much of a chip shot, the announcers psyched him out on that one.

Halftime stats:
Illinois did a great job of keeping the Tennessee offense off the field. When they have got on the field they don't have any big plays. Not having your #1 wide receiver on the field in Brasell hurts. Don't guess a field goal under 40 yards is in the cards for Gilbert. 
Should be tied at 10 but Illinois up 10-7. Defense hasn't played bad seeing 3 starters aren't playing.

I'm impressed with him also, as well as a few others on Illinois, that don't have a full sleeve tattoo.

Vols not playing good tonight
It feels like the Illinois offense has shoved it down the Tennessee defense's throat the entire game but then you think about the missed field goal and the fumble recovered in the endzone for a touchdown and that's a 10-pt swing. Should be 24-20 Vols right now but woulda, coulda, shoulda doesn't win games.
Well holy moly I post the above and boom they take the kickoff back and now lead 28-27. Crazy but the defense has got to step up now.

Was just about to turn it off and bask in my BVS till next year. Him coughing it up definitely created room but great run.

I almost can't believe what I'm seeing here…
Still 2 mins with 3 time outs. If the Vols can hold them to a FG, it ain't over.
I can. We've become known for giving up first downs at critical times.
I'll be surprised if they hold IL to a field goal.

It's first down…. If we stop them we're going to have no timeouts with a little over a minute left. Defense is just trash
Need a turnover or it's over.
Need a bad snap, bad hold or bad kick.
