I think there's a big difference in picking the most deserving teams and picking the best teams. If FSU wins the ACC then they deserve to go. Texas has a good SOS and a win in BDS. If they win they go before Bama. However the playoffs shake out is fine with me. I hope Bama can beat UGA. They are the Best right now and it's not everyday you get a chance to beat the Best.
I believe the SEC is the toughest conference out there and it means something to win it. I hope it's a great game.

ROLL TIDE!
It's the toughest and best conference and that's why I said beat UGA and fsu and Texas go down (not looking likely) and we will see but both of those have to happen. It shouldn't matter who is the best at this point regardless of what they did the first half of the season. It's a championship for the whole entire season. Bama wasn't the best early in the year. Therefore their overall season hasn't been as good as FSU's. I just really hate people saying FSU should be taken out because they lost one player. Yes a key player but there's 84 other players who have done all they can for their team and they've had a perfect season. They've done everything they were supposed to do and any team with a loss hasn't. They cannot be taken out and discounted. They have to lose to be taken out. Look at it this way. Milroe was not good the first two games he played and was benched the third. He started playing better game 4. Who is to say fsu's qb who has played now two games won't flip a switch starting today just like Milroe did at his point and play as well as their original starter did? You can't just say sorry but we aren't gonna give you that chance even though you haven't lost. To me that undermines the whole integrity of having a playoff system. If that's how we want to do I then let's pick 4 teams out preseason and they make the playoffs no matter how their season goes because it doesn't matter what any other team in the country does. I pretty agree with your take. I'm not ok with leaving out an undefeated p5 conference champ in lieu of a one loss team from another p5 conference. I'm ready for rhe 12 team format and it should have been out in place years ago

The playoff committee has always been clear, its more than just W's and L's.
And it's not right. Are we having a true season long champ or do we just want the team playing the best the last 3 or 4 games but wasn't necessarily the best all year long? If we are doing it that way then let's not count the first 1/2 of the season and we will have a 133 team playoff starting 1/2 way through the year. The first half of the season are scrimmages. Your team might get beat week 6 and your season is over. It's the same thing to me

I agree. It's a full season and every game counts. I think not FSU and Texas get in over Bama. I agree they both deserve it over Bama. IMHO Texas has the best win of the season. If Bama wins today then they will but Texas has a good SOS and beat Bama. Therefore gets in over Bama. Most Bama fans I know agree.

It would take something crazy like GA, MI and Fl State all losing for Alabama to get in now. Obviously Alabama can only influence one of those games

I'm wearing my lucky shirt. Saban doesn't take my calls after the regular season, so the shirt is all I got.

But texas lost to Oklahoma. So Oklahoma should get in before them….. bamas only loss is to what's going to be #4 or #5 in the country and beat #1 (IF they win today) if bama wins, and with the SEC's record, should be in. Take your orange glasses off. And quit getting wound up over a "if". They play in about a hour😉

Take your much deeper shade of crimson glasses off. Oklahoma lost two games. Pick a better way to argue cause that one won't hold up I'm not as much on Texas getting in as I am FSU not being left out IF they win cause that's the argument I've see n tons of bama fans using. Texas also has the same amount of loses as you and beat you head to head at bds. By your logic you'd lose to Oklahoma. It's faulty logic

Let's be clear here…. I am not arguing that texas should not be in. They are a phenomenal team. Showed out today. My argument is…… listen closely…… SEC champion should be in

That's not a good argument either. Not to me and I'm a huge sec homer and think it's the best conference. You might have a year sometime where the whole conference is down and no one is dominate but just because you're in the sec you should be in? What are we saying about other teams if we say that ? If you take away all of their wins and just watch them play, they don't deserve to be in??????

WHAT ARE WE SAYING???

Until other conferences consistently beat the SEC, yes. I would argue for a 1 loss Georgia team this year as well. If a miracle didn't happen last week and bama was a 2 loss team coming into today, and they only beat Georgia by 3 or less, I'd argue Georgia should be in as well. To be blatantly clear, I don't think FSU deserves a bid. They just have no significant wins. But they all play today to hash it out. If Georgia wins or fsu loses, no one will ever know.

So in your mind FSU could have done nothing all year long with the schedule they had to get in? They win the ACC they are in and I think it's that simple. That's very unfair to have your view to every conference that's not sec. I've admired to being a huge sec homer and I do think it's far and away the best conference but I also know there can be teams that are just as good in other conferences. Clemson has shown that fairly recently. FSU qb probably isn't playing today so they are down to their third string qb who is a freshman so I'm not so sure they win. If they do you can't leave them out. Sec is gonna be its own worst enemy this year if bama wins and no sec team gets in which is very possible at this point. You do realize your bama team lost to an out of conference team their self and lsu lost to the same FSU team you want to leave out. Pretty sure lsu is helping your very own tides strength of schedule

🤦🏻‍♂️ I m saying they aren't 1 of the 4 best. Luckily, neither of us are sitting in the room that matters. And what you said is essentially what I think. The main reason Oklahoma and texas are joining. Not all conferences are created equal. Just life
