Awesome sit tonight. If anybody wonders why I sit through the heat and bugs, tonight is why. I was within bow range of more big bucks in 2hrs than most entire hunting seasons. I saw 9 bucks, 7 inside 25yds, and 5 of that 7 were mature. I didn't get a shot at the one I wanted but that was one of the most heart pounding hunts of my life. I was close enough to hear one burp. I barely noticed the heat and bugs.

All three of these guys and two other matures came through but they got spooky and backed out. They hung around under my stand for several minutes sniffing and acting a little nervous. The biggest oldest one never presented a shot and they eventually backed out and made a wide loop around me. Was an awesome sit. The only one I would have shot is the only one who didn't present one.

Was a definite success. Nothing for me but I was able to get my son on one and he is on cloud 9. He had winded us and was nervous but he 10 ringed him (exit in pic is back slightly but still rear lungs) and the deer ran 5 yards, stood and then fell over dead. He did awesome and I couldn't be more proud. Just a little 8 but a memory that will last a lifetime.
