to me it don't matter if you get your ass handed to you all game or the last play. A loss is a loss. If he wants to be in the playoffs don't loose. Seems pretty simple it me? But I'm a pretty simple guy.

Being undefeated vs a 2-loss team doesn't make the undefeated team better. Their competition could've sucked and the 2-loss team may very well drag them up and down the field but under the current system the undefeated team makes it and the 2-loss team is on the outside looking in. I have always told my kids to not live life in the rearview mirror. Make your choices/decisions and move forward. You can't change the past so let it go. Uncle Nicky needs to the same.

I won't get into whether Alabama was a better team than any of the teams in the playoffs or not, the fact is they lost. I have a good friend that is a rabid Alabama fan, and while he admits that they lost and that is the standard, he still will say what Saban is saying, and I just don't get it. Football is a one game and out sport unlike basketball or baseball or hockey. In those sports the better team more frequently wins in a series…not always, but I firmly believe more so than in football.
If a team loses a key player before the season starts and loses a game because of that key player, then they basically have no shot, even though by all subjective metrics they are the best team with him playing. It's the nature of football. Every single game is a playoff game all year long and that is why it's so hard to stay on top.
