Shot the bully buck yesterday morning. He'd been breaking his own and other bucks' tines and keeping good bucks away. Sure enough this morning rolls around and two bigger bucks are tending does in the woodlot and pasture. I never had a chance at this 10 last season, but the Lord graced me with him today! Been an outstanding two days of hunting.

After the bully was gone, a new scrape opened over night and still had wet spots in it this morning, that weren't frosty. Pretty sure a was just minutes behind the buck who did it.

Magnificent! From this I've learned a wrinkle in the QDM approach. Kill the bully!

Killing the bully is what I truly believe scored me this buck. He was actually about 50-75lbs heavier than the 10pt, much bigger bodied. And he knew it. He's been beating up everything. Even the 10 I shot this morning was limping like he'd been whooped, and I think it was the bully who did that. One thing is for sure, the property felt night & day different today than yesterday. Bucks had been a little skittish, slinking around the edges. Today there were three of them proud as peacocks with high heads out in the pasture, the way it is on normal years.

Congrats SKi! You kill this guy here in TN or were you back at your other place (Ohio I think?)

Yes I killed it here in Coffee County. My Ohio buck was shot on the 12th. This is the second 10 I've been fortunate enough to take this season. First three pics are of the 10pt. Last pic is of the bully buck. You can see how much bigger he was. Thing was built like a bulldog and he acted like it. Biggest 4pt I'll probably ever kill lol.
