It's good that he's getting the recognition, but honestly it's not that prestigious any more.

If they didn't do those commercials, no one would even remember them.

Hooker, putting up those #s with two 5* in the entire offense.... 1 Linemen and 1 WR the transfer his had for 4 games

He won't win the Heisman, but his done more with less around him then any other QB that will be in the running.

Again, I'm not a Vols fan but from the outside looking at them play...he certainly would be my pick if it were a QB award. He has carried them on his shoulders and shown that without him, they would probably have 2 Ls. Overall though...that Bowers kid on GAs team...sheesh. He's the one player that stands out to me above all the rest this season so far.

Hooker won't get the Heisman but he's definitely the most valuable player. Like you said his carrying a team with half the talent UGA, Ohio St, or Bama has on paper.

You take Bowers off of UGA they still in the SEC chip game. Same for the other guys in the running.
if hooker don't replace Milton as the starter last year UT wins 4 or 5 games. Probably setting at 2-2 this year.

He two highest yardage games was against Pitt and UF. His #s against UF was off the charts. 2ed QB in UT history with numbers like that against any opponent. While he was banged up without his #1 target.

I don't think he wins the Heisman the Defense isn't gonna allow him to win the big games (UGA,Bama) I do think he will have impressive #s in every game he plays this season. But hard to win the Heisman on a 8-4 or 9-3 team.

And people keep saying his #s look that way because UT has played ball state and Akrok no its not 47TDs/3ints in 16 games. That includes 8 SEC teams and a ranked PITT team....this dude and offense for real
THIS! Not sure what Kirk was smoking, he must not have watched the same hendon hooker that we did!

I'll just add how nice this is compared to all the talk we had to have about JG

Isn't it amazing how far apart they are on the opposite spectrum?

They last game I attended prior to Akron, was the BYU game avfew years ago. We sat in the endzone. It was crazy how his throws were on target during warm-ups, and then not even be close when the lights came on.

And what about the wide open receivers that he would over throw? Or not being able to lob it to a running back coming out of the backfield?

Ok, I have to stop, as my blood pressure is getting up.

If I ever get another dog, I may name him Hendon.

Nah, name it "Hooker." Can you imagine if it got out and you had to go around the neighborhood looking for it and calling its name? Would make for some cool looks from neighbors and passers by
Wife's uncle had a cat named the slang word for a woman's fluffy kittens 😁 he would stand on his porch and holler for fluffy kittens to come to his house.
