So I'll add one to the discussion. The biggest 8 ptr. I've ever actually held had a broken brow tine and scored 157" as a 7ptr. That was until last year when I got this trail cam pic (not on my property). A friend of mine actually killed the buck last November and it gross scored 172", typical main frame 8ptr. I'll probably never see one bigger in my area.

Some great 8's posted.

Not 150's but had this 7 we thought might break into the 130's. Think he got killed on the farm behind us on the muzzleloader opener that year. I mistakenly shot a deer I thought was him at last 5 minutes of legal shooting light that turned out to be a decent 8, but was disappointed walking up to see it was not him. The boy that has the farm behind us later in the season said his dad may have shot the deer, they didn't find it.

Amazing deer. Is this a drop tine that sticks straight out because the beam curves up at the end?

Yes, that is actually a kicker that came off the main beam. He had one broken tine when he was killed, but it didn't take away anything from his frame. Still very impressive!

RS, I thought I showed you that pic?

I had several years history with this one. I missed him in 2015. I was scouting with my bow. Seen a spike walk over the hill. Shortly after I seen a very nice set of antlers topping the hill. Huge 8. Tall tines and brows. I drew back-way too soon. Held my draw for a few minutes and took the shot at 30ish yard when he got closer. Missed-bad. I was way too tired from holding to have taken the shot, but I was also excited that almost happened just casually walking around with my bow

Daylight pic 2013, blurry night pic 2015, then a downhill pic before he disappeared in 2017. I don't think he'd have been too far from a 150 in 2015

Another 8 people really like. He's from this past season. Very similar to the bean field 8, but narrower and a different state. Long tines and weak brows. This deer actually surprised me by range shifting a bit and showing up on camera consistently about two miles away where I was focusing on a 150" 10 pointer I call Deja Vu for his resemblance to the 156" 10 point I killed in 2014... it almost claimed that deer a death warrant for looking so similar but I held off hunting him. Found his sheds from the year before and had several pictures throughout the season daylight and dark. He'll hopefully show up again and I can get my buddy his first 150" deer this season-not that he'll pass the 8 if he sees him!

The big 4pt shed likely could have been a big 8 pointer. Still one of my favorite sheds to this date. That shed led me to one amazing hunting spot-but everyone in the world is hunting it LOL!

Here is one I mounted for someone this year. It breaks the 150" mark with minimum browtine contributions.
That is beautiful! I'm getting mine mounted on a newer form I've not seen before. It shows more of one shoulder and then he's turned a bit for a head on view. Haven't decided on what I want his ears to be doing though. I've got several with the one ear back/forward & don't want to do that again.
