Zuppa Toscana
Ingredients
2 lb. Kielbasa Sausage
2 large potatoes
1 large onion chopped
6 bacon strips chopped
2 cloves garlic minced
2 cups kale chopped
2 cans chicken broth
4 cups water
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 teaspoon crushed pepper (red)

Directions
1. Cook sausage at 300 degrees in oven for 30 minutes.

2. Drain sausage & cut into slices.

3. Place onions, potatoes, chicken broth, water, garlic in pot & cook on medium heat until potatoes are done.

4. Add sausage & bacon.
5. Salt & pepper to taste.
6. Simmer 10 minutes, turn to low heat.
7. Add kale, cream & red pepper.

Great meal for a cold, rainy day like yesterday was.
 
kale is the leafy part of turnip or mustard greens. I actually didn't use it in this meal as I don't care for it myself. I don't think it gives as much flavor as it just gives the meal a better appearance.

Kale is that stuff that looks like broccoli without the broccoli. Us slaves at Wendys used to have to dress up the salad bar at 2am with that garbage so it looked enticing to you Yankees when otherwise we should have been allowed to go home and get a good night's sleep for school the next day. :D
