yote with shotgun?

2 years ago I was sitting about 30 yards from my buddy who was hunting turkeys. I was calling them in with a box call. I heard him shoot, kind of in the direction towards me, so I stood up and called him a 'bad name' and asked him what he was doing. He pointed to the ground between us, and there was a dead coyote that had come stalking in to find the turkey (me) he was hearing.
He was using turkey shot in his remington 870.

Plenty of times I wish I had a shotgun instead of a rifle with a full choke and t shot

A shotgun is my go to gun for hunting predators, I have killed quite a few yotes and bobcats with 835. From 5 yards to 60 yards using a Carlson dead coyote choke and 3" dead coyote load.

I saw a predator show the other nite and the guy was using both shotgun and rifle. It appeared he was on a rise and in desert looking brush and the coyote would run upon him before he would see them at long range. he shot two on the run with a shotgun that just popped out on him without warning. Seemed very effective.
