yamaha bear tracker question

I got a great deal on a used Bear Tracker and am told its a 1996 model but cant find any info on the Bear Tracker model for that year.....
anyone own one ? its got 229 cc stamped on the head so i assume its a 250 cc model....ive looked all over the net,Yamaha site for manual info but cannot find it listed anywhere.Its got BearTracker on the bike...... mechanic has it now ...
