The property I hunt has a neighboring property where the land owners are out of state. There are several people that hunt this property without written permission and I know this for a fact. I also believe the same people that hunt that property sneak over onto the land I hunt while I'm at work. Do these people have to have written permission from the said landowner to be on that land? If so what can I do to keep people off of it which would keep them off of me?

All persons must have permission from the landowner before hunting. However, the only time written permission is required is when the landowner has posted his/her property with the specific signage requiring hunting by written permission only. If the property has not been posted according to TCA 70-4-105 (b), then written permission is not required.

The only thing you could do to keep people off of that property is to lease it from your neighbors and get a power of attorney so you could prosecute the violators.
