just loaded some 110 Hornady VMax bullets and TAC powder for the SOCOM 16 rifle,,talk about a fluffy kittens cat to shoot,,I think it is the perfect load for this weapon in home defense for a number of reasons,,

took the scope and mounts off and got a good zero at 50 yards with the factory Trijicon Night sights,,man that big front sight lights up,,

I would not want to be messing around in the dark up against anybody with this weapon loaded with 20 rounds of the 110 VMax bullet ,,I cant imagine what that bullet would do to a chest cavity,

what kind of speed ya getting? .id bet it would jelly some deer lungs out a ways also

havent clocked it,,but guessing 2950,,books say 3300 with 22 inch bbl..

the V-Max is a nasty critter- cavity is more than 50% of bullet Explosive impacts to say the least... terminal energy in target is a GOOD THING !!!
