I would agree that that is a mature buck,
but no idea whether that's the only deer you've seen this year that is mature. :)

Odds are high that's about as good as he's going to get. In addition, considering the extreme difficulty of seeing/killing a 5 1/2+ year-old buck, take him if you get the chance.

There wouldn't be no thinking involved on this one. He's a shooter just because he's Mature. The bigger horns would just be a extra in my eyes. I've only laid eyes on a few mature deer in my life in the the woods. It's hard to see mature does and bucks IMO If any mature deer comes by me and is legal it's game. It's a challenge inside it's self to just see a mature deer more less kill one.
