winter time crappie fishing?

can anybody give me any ideas of how to catch them in the winter time. I plan on going next weekend above cheatham dam and was wondering if anybody could give me any ideas on how deep to fish etc. thanks for any info

Get some bobby garland baby shads and 1/16 and 1/32 oz jigheads along with some hi viz line and your set. After you locate some crappie, toss the jig out and watch the line. Most will hit on the fall. Count the seconds til you reach the school and you will have an idea on how long to let it sink. If you don't use high viz line you will miss the majority of the strikes as they are very subtle most of the time.
