I have not shot the RUM since DA and PMC were here 2 years ago,,got some new glass on it and just zeroed it,,and DANG,,that is no fun,,I am gonna throttle it back to 300 Win Mag levels until I can get somebody to put a break on it,,

just shot 6 150 Interbonds with 90 grs RL22 that clocked 3420 fps that was a whole lot more user friendly, first group was right at an inch and the second was 3/4,,I may work down a little and see if it tightens up any,,

from an 8 pound rifle I just cant take the 200 SMK at 3250 any more.

That's exactly why I don't shoot nothing with anymore kick than a 308win. When I go to the range I usually fire 50 to 100 shots at various yardages. Try that with the calibers that kill on both ends and you will feel like someone beat the crap out of you the next day. A well placed shot from a .243 or .308 will kill any thing I'm hunting for.

LOLOLOL,,I just turned the powder dump the wrong way and the first charge I dropped weighed 91.2 grs,,I went ahead and loaded 3 rounds at that charge and fired them at 100 yards,,the first two went through the same hole and the third is just about a half bullet hole higher than the first two,,less than a half inch easy,,chronied at 3455 fps,,

I have run 97 grs RL22 with the 150 Partition at 3700+

I think I will load about 20 and see how consistent it is right there,,

Stretch it on out to 400 to 500 yds and let us know what she do. Surely you not loading up a super sonic load just for a 100 yard doe killer.

believe me it will get stretched,,,just gettin new glass on paper,,

shot two more three shot groups to get a dead zero at 100 yards and get a base zero to set the M1 knobs,

from my charts I need 2 3/4 MOA to get from 100 to a 300 zero,,so I dialed up 11 clicks and soon as it cools back off we will see how this outfit tracks and if it goes where it is supposed to.

while a 150 Bonded bullet at 3450 is not wide open for a RUM it is still a pretty stout load,,shoots pretty smooth and is very accurate at 100 yards at least,,

Have you tried a 130 gr Tipped TSX in the RUM? I get 3500+ out of my WSM. Wonder what you would get out of your RUM with a max load?

I scared the heck out of 4K with a 125 NBT when I first bought it..

just touched off three at 300 yards and they was about an inch high and 4 inches to the right,,in a 15-20 mph whirlwind,,I didnt ride back out there but I would bet money it is less than 1.5 inches and looks closer to an inch group,,it started blowing a little rain as I got my camera,,,so ya`ll will just have to take my word on it,,

I dialed it back down 2 clix and left the windage alone,,

I am gonna call it zeroed at 300,,got my range paper out and gonna play with the B&C reticle off the front porch,,

if I miss with this setup it is simply my fault.

there is always something straying through to shoot at.

I was about to say 4K would be likely with either 125-130 for yourself.
