Was not aware Wilson did anything outside of 45's.

Was looking for some component costs for a .308 and saw and advertisement for Wilson Combat barrels...so off I went.

To my surprise, they have a fairly wide selection and then I was struck near speechless at the prices. I was impressed but then again, these could be junk from China.

anyone have one of these barrels on their gun and what is your evaluation?

Here is the 308 I am looking at.

I'm fairly certain, like a lot of companies, they don't actually make their own barrels. And I have no experience with them. I'm sure there are tons of reviews of them though…probably on YouTube.

I have two of there barrels. The 223 wylde or how ever you spell it in the 16in super sniper and a 11.3 556 both are extremely accurate. I am very happy with them. I will be ordering another in the future

I know they use rifle planks from a 3rd party and I am not sure who that is. I am pretty sure they drill, lap and polish in house.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Wilson combat barrel. They have some very good deals sometimes. I have a one in a 20 inch 6.5 cm ultimate hunter barrel. I have not finished fine tuning loads for it yet, but it is grouping about 1 inch with the same handloads I use for my ballistic advantage 6.5 cm. The ba is running sub.5 inch groups when I do my part.

they dont use blanks from a 3rd party. they start with round stock, drill, button rifle and finish machine in their shop.
This is very good to know. I think my information was very old 2015ish when they first started in the AR barrel game.
