After planting my 1st food plot of my life the deer hammered it and turned it into dirt!! If it is a perennial seed will it grow back or was it to young to be established? Should I re-seed?
ok after week 3 it was coming in really well! Probably 2" across the plot! After looking at my cams over the plot you could see the deer in it and the green slowly faded away!! I planted WI Extreme and clover!!
I don't know man...doesn't sound so good. Could have been deer, army worms, or even some disease. Did you plant it with a nurse crop? Wheat or oats or something? That'll give your clover a little more chance to establish.
You might plan on replanting with all this rain and a cool spell. If it's gone now, there's nothing there TO grow. You've still got time to get it in the ground.
Yep, if I was you I would get on the ball and get some more seed out. That WI Extreme is some expensive stuff. Go to your co op and get you a bag of wheat and some clover by the pound at the counter and you'll be good to go and quite a bit cheaper. Also, as BSK mentioned, get you a cage out this time. How big a plot are we talking about here?

If all you need is a fall attractant for drawing deer or hunting over, it's really hard to beat annual crimson clover and VNS wheat. And those two are about the cheapest stuff you can plant.
Thanks guys!! I'm kicking myself for not putting a exclusion cage out, the only thing I didn't do that I was told to do!! But next time I will know!! Ok so it sounds like I am going to seed again!!
