wild hog question.

I've been trying to get setup for a hog hunt but after the news last night I need to make sure of something. They said wild hogs carry 45 diseases. Does that mean they are not fit to eat?

I am not aware of anything they carry that cooking will not kill. However, I would make sure that I had on heavy rubber gloves and a mask before I did any field dressing or processing. Some of the diseases they do carry such as brucellosis have severe human implications if contracted.
