Multiple Weapons Question

When bear season (Gun/Muzzleloader/Archery) runs concurrently with deer season (Muzzleloader/Archery), is it legal to carry both a centerfire rifle and a muzzleloader? I've looked thru the hunting guide, but don't see this situation addressed.

My understanding is if you are bear hunting you can have both but can't shoot a deer with the muzzleloader while in possession of a rifle.

I would call the Region 4 office and get the ruling from them. There are some regulations that would seem to make it illegal to have both.

Muzzle Loader is plenty for a bear, I'd carry it and not have to worry about somebody writing me a ticket.

I have no idea how Region 4 is enforcing that issue right now. To me, it is a lot like having a centerfire rifle with you for coyotes while turkey hunting. I would have written someone a Manner and Means citation for that.

At a certain point, you just have to decide what you are REALLY hunting that day.

Probably be best to have a Carry Permit and carry a Handgun in a heavy caliber. I agree cannot imagine carrying two long guns unless it was tree stand hunting. Walk and stalks? Forgetta bout it.
