When there was one in Anderson County a few days ago. :D

This is only the second one I've seen in the last four years, but it is pretty cool to have one on camera.

I see that's an elk but at a glance it seems to have a few moose characteristics too. Maybe it's just me. Palmation in antlers, dark color coat just in shade I suppose and almost a waddle (think that's right) under chin which is base of tree actually. Used to be a few elk seen there In almost downtown Clinton several years ago.

Probably never can go out west to hunt for Elk. I have MS and it is just too hard to do for me.
You may be surprised. Don't know your current ability, but there are guides/outfitters that could handle any type disability, and probably even some trespass hunts that could be accommodating. Best of luck to you .

Love the Bear Lake area. Lived in SLC area for 20+ years. Have you heard about Hardware Ranch in the winter? Must see if you haven't…

I lived in Ogden for a long time before getting back home. We always wanted to do the sleigh ride at Hardware for the elk feeding.
Heading back to UT in a couple of weeks for pronghorn!

They do it every year. Pretty sure I've seen something on wheelchair hunts and hunting from vehicles.they have accommodations same as here.

South of Salida, Co around Villa Grove, Crestone & Saguach, they issue depredation permits that allow you to hunt elk with rifle starting in July/Aug. The elk pile off the mtns to feed in farmers irrigated alfalfa fields. Very similar to hunting deer on food plots. Permits are across the counter & doesn't count against your preference points if you have any. I can put you in touch with booking agent that works with a couple outfitters there if interested.
If you want a hard horn one & want to hear some bugling, book in late September

We stayed in Salina few years back while working there. Actually I think the tires that are on my dually right now came from there. First year of Covid.early summer had a heck of a storm come through. 60 degrees and everything we had stuck.

What do they mean incidental harvest?
My neighbor on the ridge above me swears he heard a bugle earlier this week.
Claiborne county
The way that I understand it is you can be hunting deer by any legal means, and if an elk walks in then you can take it legally. That's if you are not in the core counties. There is a stipulation that you have to call TWRA to inspect your kill if you take one

Probably never can go out west to hunt for Elk. I have MS and it is just too hard to do for me. I am planning on going out to Kansas to hunt mule deer this year! I own property there so it is legit.
You can do it on private property with bringing your own camp set up with use of 4 wheeler or horse included for under 5k total trip. I do it for under 3k diy style on public land

My main reason was tired of not getting drawn here and twra. A good example is what they've done in Catoosa with the tags and no more bonus bucks

I take it you can kill them in all other counties? I got pics of doe elk, and heard a bugle in Greene county last year

Does incidental apply to Oak Ridge WMA? Hmm. One was accidentally killed there many years ago.
Wait a minute, part of OR is in Anderson county. Part of it is in Roane.
