where did the deer go

I hunt Carter County a mountain farm. Been hunting it for about five years. Normally in the off season I will get 1000-1400 trail cam pics at a mineral site that I have and has been there for years there are huge holes. But starting last month it fell off. And I don't go in there but once a month and done it this way since I started hunting it. The only thing I did do is I normally set out trophy rock well last time (june) I put out trace mineral from tractor supply. I have put them out before and they still ate it. But now I went two weeks ago and had 40 pics. Went hung a stand last Sunday only had like 20 pics went hunted this morning had 3 pictures. So what do you think is going on? Is there a huge amount of acorns this year I haven't wondered the mountain yet.

I'm in Washington co and there are acorns everywhere here. It could be your camera is starting to go bad also.

They have switched to acorns. Right now is the hardest time of year to get pics in the mtns. Mineral licks shouldn't be getting hit much if at all right now.

Same here, i had over 3000 pics and still am but only at night. They are hitting the acorns now but havent found "THE TREE" yet so ill be looking friday.
