Where at on this map, and why?

Here's an area I'm interested in hunting.
What area would you focus your scouting efforts on, and why?

Me watching the saddles just have to see what funnel or pinch point has the best sign. My spots I would look at, but I am not a great hunter.

I'd be all along that river, anywhere atop that step edge, looking for benches, checking that creek going to main river.

The left side if the creek going to the river, look right above the ft in 1500. Probably where I would start.

A saddle close to the highest point on the ridge would be my starting point

That blue drainage makes a perfect X where it crosses the stream. Follow the top right leg of that X up onto that shelf and look for an obvious crossing spot. There's a lot going on right there. A buck can bed there with a view of the creek bottom plus has easy access any direction. Id expect to see some rubs and/or scrapes.

The saddle right up from your cross hairs on the page. It tightens down where the ravines come up.id actually set right off the edge back towards the water because it looks like a bench.Easiest spot for them to scent check and get out of dodge. Looks prime in my opinion.

Thanks for the replies.

I walked out to the end just a few minutes ago. The whole area was void of any deer sign, except for one scrape almost exactly where Ski mentioned, above the X on the top right side.

I've always seen at least 2 trucks parked here, most of time there would be 3.

When my first choice drew company this morning, and my first backup apot was occupied, I found this one empty, and decided to check it out.
Now I guess I can see why nobody's here this time, haha.

If I had time to scout here are the areas I would look at. Obviously the circle is a big area and I believe others mentioned it too.

Don't let lack of sign deter you. I'd at least hang a cheap camera at the ditch crossing to see what's going on. Good luck either way!
