Planted a fwe clover and chicory ,brassica mixes in this area.But not sure what this is.Any thoughts?

I have tons of it on my place. I would guess it is from all the rain. It seems to be in areas that are moist.

I googled Poor Jon and did not find anything. That is what I've heard it called all my life, it probably has another name. But if its what I think it is it will choke everything else out. It is a vining type plant that forms a thick mat, almost like a ground cover.

That whole field,its about an acre,its growing stuff good,but its full of weeds and Johnson grass.Ive sprayed it four times this summer with roundup.It was a hay field for years and years.Guess Ill go with it for this year and spray and disc,repeat,repeat,repeat,next year.

If you will look on the bag the seed mix came out of. You'll probably see the % of seeds on the bag. The weed seed and plant inert maybe high. I just planted an acre of biologic maxium lets hope we'll be shoot off of it in a month or so.
