What to plant in a dry pond bed?

We have a low spot on our property that holds water when it floods. Not technically a pond but it looks like an old bar pit - about 1/3 to 1/2 an acre. Right now it's dry as a bone. Any ideas about what to plant. Not wanting to get fancy or expensive. No till, if it grows great if it floods, oh well.
