What size shot and brand shells do you shoot?

These are the ones I've tried this year (well, still have 2 to try today or tomorrow). I'd be comfortable hunting with any of them, but I'll choose the ones that give me the best pattern. As REN can attest, my gun has been pretty picky.

Top barrel for the longer shots...almost the same as these guys but my gun likes 6s. Bottom barrel for close quarters...whatever old 3" 4s, 5s, or 6s I might have laying around.

Picked up a box of Rem. 3 1/2 #4 shot at walmart. I wanted #5 shot but I am going to try them anyway.

Just patterned Winchester Longbeards XR 3 inch #5 on Saturday. That is what I will be using. Slightly better than the Winchester xtended range I used for 10 years, I was surprised.

If curious about patterns with Winchester Longbeards XR, go to Winchester pattern board and check it out. Pretty neat! And it was dang close to my results even without sand bags
