I was looking for artifacts a few days ago in an almost dry creek bed along an area where I've found lots of arrowheads and saw this bone in the amongst the rocks. No doubt, it's part of a long bone from some large mammal. The existing terminal end is not a ball/socket joint, so for sure it is not the upper end of a femur or humerus. The shaft of the bone is rather flattened. so, what is it and from what animal? It looks very old.
