What if the turkey as we know did not gobble at all. How hard would it be to hunt or locate them?

I've often said if they could smell you may never kill one at least with a shotgun.Mike Belt":gd4xf5do said:What if the turkey had a nose like a deer? Along with their eyesight could you get close enough to ever kill one..... and sometimes I think they do, lol.
That's why I've never hunted them in the fall. Just ain't the same for me.catman529":2dcl5ghp said:It would be like fall hunting I guess. Locate some birds by vision or listening for scratching in the leaves, stalk them and ambush.

The birds on my place are getting to that point. I heard less gobbling last year than I've heard in 40 years of turkey hunting.TN Whitetail Freak":1e4kx8mw said:What if the turkey as we know did not gobble at all. How hard would it be to hunt or locate them?
