What if the turkey as we know did not gobble at all. How hard would it be to hunt or locate them?

Same here.

You would have to ambush them. The only tactic that would change for me would be the calling. I still scout for strut zones, roost, feeding, etc.

I've often said if they could smell you may never kill one at least with a shotgun.

As for if they didn't gobble it wouldn't be the same. The fun part of the hunt is hearing them gobble.

That's why I've never hunted them in the fall. Just ain't the same for me.

The birds on my place are getting to that point. I heard less gobbling last year than I've heard in 40 years of turkey hunting.
