started out so foggy you couldn't see 40 yards. then it lifted some and here came 2 pretty good size dogs. they had collars so they got their only free pass from me. then a coyote popped out about 15 yards away. chip shot for my crossbow. but I had to learn the hard way about keeping your thumb down. dang that hurts. talk about a blood blister. then the landowner meets me and my cousin at the truck and tells us that me and him hunting on her property is causing a big fight in the family and we are not allowed to hunt there any more. poor lady was in tears. we told her that us hunting there was not worth a big fight. we thanked her for what we have got to hunt and went on our way. what a morning is all I can say. sorry for the long post.

:frown: That's no good. I'm just waiting on that day on my favorite property. The family lets their kids hunt rifle but I've been in there for bow and ML. One day the kids will complain and I will lose that farm...

its kind of the same situation UH. we are only allowed to bow hunt it and then their family ml and rifle hunts it. and I have been fine with that. she said her grand kids were up set and all the family was upset. big mess I guess.

Sorry to hear that. I have lost properties to hunt in the past, but it just made me look harder and explore my options better. I really think that it made me a better hunter in the long run, although I don't claim to be Dan'l Boone or Davey Crockett by any stretch. Good luck in locating more land.

Man sorry to hear. I almost got kicked off my own fathers land because of a renter. I am now back on but stuck where i will never see anything. First year for ever hunting and don't know anything. I hope it works out and you did do the right thing. She may call you back after it cools down.

This seems to be common areawide, as I have several friends who can only bow hunt until mzl. on a few properties.

Doesn't matter at this point but sounds like you hunted that property for a long time? Hate to hear that you lost it but you handled it with grace. I'm sure she appreciated you not making it harder for her. Maybe you will find 2 more properties to take its place.
