Fished with my brother and one of my dad's two best friends today. J we will call him worked with my dad and was his fishing buddy. My dad got killed in an accident at work nearly 10 years ago now. A year or two after my dad passed J lost his oldest son who was his other fishing buddy. I don't think he's fished a single time since then. I saw him a few weeks back and he told me he thought he was about ready to get back after them. I had taken off work today specifically to fish and told him we'd love to take him with us. He agreed so we set out early this morning. It took us most of the day to really find them but man it happened quick when we did. The fact we whacked them was just icing on the cake. Just getting to spend time with J and relive so many good memories was worth 10x the price of admission.
