Anyone have opening in lease Northwest Tennessee areas? I have 2 maybe 3 other guys that I hunt with looking too. Had one lined up outside Reelfoot but farmer pulled it… thanks

This is well worth using the money you would spend on a West TN lease. Stay dry and kill more ducks in a week than you would probably kill all season at some gar hole leased here.
Yep. I have relatives in North Dakota (both my mom and dad were raised) so me and a buddy decided to go hunt there on a wild hair one year around 1995. Unbelievable experience compared to hunting further south (Indiana for us). So we made it an annual tradition to spend a week or two up there. Since we knew farmers we just freelanced ourselves so we never needed a guide. Once we learned how to go about it, we would spend a few days hunting in Canada which was even better hunting. Typically we would 10's of thousands if not 100's of thousands of birds each day. We didn't limit out each hunt, but more often than not we did. We quit going around 2003 or so as life got in the way, but I never hunted waterfowl in the south again. Totally not worth it.
I don't know what it's like in ND nowadays, but I expect that it is a different experience now since a lot of the land is tied up in leases by guides. It would still be money better spent to pay a guide than to hunt good spots in TN much less mediocre spots.

A good bit of the land up in the area we went is still open up there it seemed like. All you have to find is a tiny pothole (pond) and you'll kill ducks!!
