nice maybe one day i'll get me one how much did it cost you and is it smokeless too

Yes, smokeless.

I got it online, $760.00 shipped to my door.

I will have a grand in the entire set up after scope and mounts.

Ok, here's the story of me making the jump.............

Two yrs ago, a guy that works for the same company I do gets a brand new TC Omega SS Lam stock, Nikon 3x9 scope (silver), hard shell padded case, the whole nine yds. for Christmas. Six months later he is really hard up for cash, got himself in a little debt issue...............

So, he needs cash fast. I offer him $400.00 + my Knight(American Knight) inline, he takes the deal. Nooooooooooooooooooooow, a yr and a half later he wants his TC Omega back, doesn't care how much, apparently he has come into some money. ???

I throw a price of $675.00 at him and he showed up the next morning cash in hand. I have a .54 cal Hawkins and I picked up a Knight rolling block SS from a member on this site over the summer.

After reading the threads and so on here and at other sites, For a little more cash I can have the ML10 smokeless.

He is happy, I am happier..................LOL.

man u wont be sorry. i got my 10ml before the season this year ,topped it with a sweet vx3 leupold 3/10/40 and have used it all the way thru rifle. the best thing is i killed my best tn buck ever with it saturday and got to see it fall in its tracks. NO SMOKE! i love my savage..lol

congrats!

I have no doubts about liking it, just need to make the adjustment to the smokeless............LOL.

I never really minded the cleaning and care of any of my other ones, I am making the move to not being forced into "having" to clean it after each use if you know what I mean.

I am looking at a Nikon 3x9x50 to top it off with in silver finish as well, weaver double strap rings.

YOU WILL BE VERY HAPPY WITH THE SAVAGE. THEY CAN BE PICKY AS TO LOAD AND BULLET BUT ONCE YOU GET IT DIALED IN IT IS AWESOME WHAT THEY WILL DO.MINE WITH 55 GRAINS N120 AND A BARNES ORIGINAL IS SIMILAR IN TISSUE DAMAGE TO MY 7 MM REM OUT TO 100+ YARDS.

Which Nikon are you looking at? The buckmaster with the silver finish?

I can get a 3-9x 40mm Buckmaster for $204 OR the 3-9x 50mm Prostaff for $186.

Both in silver finish. I was leaning towards the Prostaff because of the 50mm lens and more light gathering ability.

You should compare the 2 side by side. The buckmaster has better glass which gets better light transmission which may make up for the smaller objective. It will also keep you from getting higher rings.

Correct on both accounts, I am still in the looking stages, I haven't actually made up my mind yet.

What scope did you put on it? I am not sure if I am going to make the jump. Seems like there are alot of smokeless powders out there making combinations numerous. Good luck and post pics.

I'd go with the Buckmasters between those two, especially on an ML.

UNless you;'re shooting long range, you'll probably be using th elower power settings, and they will give you plenty of exit pupil for light. And I'd want the scope mounted as low as possible, and the 50 mm might be too big.

(I've got a Nikon Buckmaster 3-9X40 on my 270 and I've been pleased with it.)

Take a look at the Talley Lightweights before you mount the scope. I used these on mine and have'nt had any problems at all. You can order them direct from Talley.

I just joined ya! just completed my order off of Gunbroker. 601.00 new in box shipped to my door, be there waiting for me when I get home in April! :) looks just like my savage 7mag (black/blue w/ scope) so I was partial! super stoked about it.
