Just ordered me a Bubba battery powered fillet knife.
I was cleaning fish yesterday and someone had tied my extension cord in about 112 different knots, got it hung up on a box on my bench and dumped 18,241 different things in the floor.
Blades on my Rapala are dull as @gasman and from experience when the blades get dull the knife will die within a few days.

Threw the blades away and decided right then I was gonna get one. LOL

Got the knife, battery, 4 sets of blades and a box for it all for $120.
As much as I use one there is no need not to.

Hope I like it. :D

I used my son's bubba electric knife to filet some slabs on Sunday and he said it was brand new. It did a good job but honestly I was a little disappointed the blades weren't sharper and I didn't like the super thin blades. Maybe I'm just used to the cheap electric knives.

Wow, just got an email that said it would be delivered today.
Coming via Fed-Ex.
Hope that doesn't mean they are dropping it off at the post office today.
If they do it will probably go to flippin Memphis from Fulton. 🤦‍♂️

Hopefully your first attempt with it goes better than his

Skip ahead to about the 12:30 mark for a little humor.

Thought about you yesterday.
I have cleaned exactly 240 fish with my bubba blade knife.
109 with the first battery.
131 with the second battery.
The second battery died yesterday with 3 fish to go.
Popped the other battery in, made one cut and the knife wouldn't turn off.
I tried everything I knew to try and never could get it to turn off.
Gonna do some research and see if I am missing something simple and if not I am going to contact Bubba Blade and see what they say.

Man thats crazy...and dangerous! I was excited about getting one but now wondering if I should. For some reason my gut is always telling me to hold off. Every time somebody gets one I ask what they think, they tell me(and usually tell me to get it), I end the conversation thinking "I'm ordering it tonight!" then when night rolls around I've read other reviews, watched YouTube videos, and googled things like "bubba blade sucks" or "F... Bubba blade" just to see if things pop up and convinced myself to hold off until I get another opinion.

I will still get one but might wait and see how your issue gets resolved lol.

I emailed them and they replied pretty quick.
They want to know,
When did I buy it?
Where did I buy it?
Can you send a video of the issue and a picture of the inside of the battery?

The when I already told them in my original email.
Guess I will get them a video this afternoon.

I wanted to say, turn yours on, pretend to take your finger off the trigger but don't.
That's what the video looks like. :D

Best fillet knife is the old blue american angler with there shark blades.I can clean 60 crappie at a time and it barely gets warm.I have had mine probally 6-7yrs and its been great, only problem is they dont make them anymore.Crappie guides in miss is how i found out about them, they use to post adds on crappie.com wanting to buy used ones after american angler quit makeing them, they would pc them back together if they tore up.

Had my heart set on getting 1 but 900+ lbs of refrigerator compressors the price has fell through the floor, $100 , reckon I will buy a no motor 1 . headed to the beach soon and hope to need a filet knife lol

You will love it. As others have stated the batteries hold a charge very well. I cleaned about 50 shellcrackers last week and it was as strong as when I started.

Well for some reason I can't get an email to go through to them with their requested picture and video from the same account I used yesterday.
Sent it all from my work email so now maybe we will see what they say.
