how do you keep wasp out of your shooting houses in the off season? Someone posted that they put something in theirs that kept wasp out but I can't find the thread.

I don't use mine in the off season. In the fall, I'll throw an aerosol bug bomb like a grenade in each of them and a couple of hours later all the wasps, spiders, and other creepy crawlers are dead. I turn the chairs over beforehand because it does leave an oily residue.

I've seen people put a brown paper sack up so it looks like a hornet's nest and they say it works very well.

I've gotten hit when trying to put bombs in. Best to wait til its cold. The no-pest strips seem to be working for me.
Do it on a cooler evening right at dusk when they are on the nest. They are less likely to fly at that time of day, and the cooler evening time makes them more apt to stay on the nest too, so they won't get after you.

That's what I usually try to do, but in the fall it gets harder to find days where you can get to the lease on a cool evening/morning.
