Wader Storage

I normally just throw them in my shop, or in a tub in my shop. But I usually pull them out to use a few times before duck season. But dose anyone have a best way to store breathable waders? I am lucky to get 12-18 months out of them no matter the brand. This is just a off season discussion topic

They need to be dried and stored inside in a dark closet. High temps and UV light doesn't help them age well.

I dry mine on the inside with a peet boot dryer and store in a closet in the house.

Dry and place back in box that they came in.
Never hang in a closet.

My son told me to buy a wader bag and put them in that.
He also said you aren't supposed to hang breathable waders by the boot.

For whatever it's worth, there ya go.

I always hang them by the foot in the basement. You don't want to bend the rubber while in storage. I have put armor all dressing on them. Usually get several years use doing it this way.

Can't speak to breathables but my 12 year old neoprenes get hung up in the garage by the boot. No issues.

Banded boot hanger mounted on the wall. I leave them hanging all off season.

Boot hanger hung by the boots in the basement for me. That's pretty new to me as I was throwing them back in a tub so we'll see how it lasts but so far so good.

Many waders develop pin hole leaks where the rubber(?) type bottom area is attached to the upper waders area.
This is the reason why some people simply fold waders and place back in the box that they came in.

Whichever tote I tossed them in a few years ago. Duck hunting got so bad over in East Tennessee, not that it was ever good but I stopped hunting them and I have no idea which tote they're in lol

We could probably get a hunt in early necks year and just say @rem270 is a juvenile. No one would ever question us when he's on his booster seat in the pit
