Who's already got their days set for season???

I've taken off from October 30-November 20. [emoji41]

For many years I would hunt 16 days straight starting with opening day of rifle. Now I selectively take off those days in increments, but I focus those increments around the best weather from middle of November to middle of December. In other words, I do not burn any days on less than ideal weather.

anytime I will be able to get to go this year is a vacation in my book, haven't been able to go for 4 years trying to stay above water financially. this year is going to be different and I need to let the air out of a deer or two. :bash:

I've got an out of state trip planned that I'll take off. I'll also take off the last full week of bow season. After that I'll take days off day by day; taking full advantage of what the weather is going to do.

I used to take off the full month of November, but found that I enjoy deer hunting sooooo much more and am able to apply myself towards being the most efficient hunter that I can be if I take some time off (and work) between hunts.

I'll wait to put in for vacation until the quota hunt results come in. If I don't get any quota's I will take a few Fridays and Mondays off here and there.

I am pretty flexible for the most part so I wait until the time comes and take off as needed. Glad I do not have to plan this far in advance, I would pull my hair out!

wow that must be nice to be able to take 22 days off of work... Enjoy that. :super:

I don't have any days approved yet but my job allows a lot of freedom as far as when I take off. I have 21 days of vacation at this time and I usually use most of them to deer hunt. I like to take off most of the 1st week of ML season and the 1st week of Rifle season depending on the weather for both or course.

I scheduled Veterans Day week off for 9 days in a row of hunting since that's typically the best time here. Also scheduled most of thanksgiving week. I'll just hunt weekends, holidays, and every other Friday the rest of deer season.

I will use 6 to 8 days for deer hunting. Sometimes I use them in half days and other in full. I normally don't book them until a few days before depending on the weather. Some years, I take all of Thanksgiving week off as that traditionally is the best here. We will play it by ear this year to see how it goes.

I have Nov 11th - 18th in the books (usually the best time in my neck of the woods) and will schedule a couple more days last minute when the weather looks good. If it's too hot for some of those days I will go into work and use them on a better day.

haven't put any time in yet, but planning to take days here and there depending on weather between end of october through november

No vacation days for me. My job doesn't offer them. I'll take off if I get drawn for Catoosa but that's it. Weekends only for me. Now that we're going to church it may only be Saturday's for me this year.

Right now Oct 19-28 and then Nov 6-Dec 10.

With the recent change of youth hunt I'm going to try to rearrange for Oct 26-Dec 10, but the soccer dads at work usually book Halloween off in advanced to take their kids trick-or-treating and it might be too late.

Halloween is on a Saturday this year, maybe that will work in your favor.

In most cases it would, but working shift work the two hardest times to get off are weekends and holidays. When a holiday happens to fall on. Weekend it's even worse. I normally leave the holidays and weekends to my guys because I'm off during hunting season.

I approve the time off, but it's a simple minimum staffing equation that decides. I'll find out tomorrow when I get back to work and look at staffing that weekend.

I have most of mine on the calendar but I am able to be very flexible with them so I can move them around as I need. I have 16 days left but I also have 2 grand kids on the way and I am sure that will eat into the number. :D
