Currie IS/WAS the circus. Never should have been hired to begin with.

I would like to see Fulmer..what a boost to the football program.

I don't know why they wouldn't go with Phil ASAP!

:D

I saw a great post on another board, "I can't wait to watch the ESPN "30 for 30" documentary on this fiasco" !

Saw a post on VN saying MTV has picked The Real World Knoxville to be the next reality show.

I know most on here probably dont believe the whole Haslam Mafia narrative and just think UT is inept at doing anything but the struggle is real and things WILL NOT get better until they are out.

Jimmy Hyams@JimmyHyams

Don't be surprised if UT promotes Reid Sigmon to interim AD. Sigmon was hired by John Currie April 25. He worked for Currie for four years (2009-13) at Kansas State. He spent 4 years as College FB Playoff chief financial officer. He's a Wake Forest grad who has worked for Browns

Probably not Fulmer..... It just got real.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^This information is true^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^. With Haslam having the money and control he obviously has now, this could more than likely be the way this scenario plays out. Probably not going to get any better there if that scenario plays out that way.

Currie was part of the circus. The ringmaster is Jimmy Haslam.

Boom

Jimmy Hyams@JimmyHyams

While UT considered Reid Sigmon for interim AD job to replace the fired John Currie, Phillip Fulmer will be named the athletic director at the 4 pm presser, but don't know if full time or interim. With Fulmer at the helm, don't be surprised if pool of candidates opens up.

Promote Fulmer or get Blackburn. All the posts out there that Fulmer sabotaged the search. If true I guess it's the old what comes around goes around since Currie was on board with firing him.

The best I can piece together right now is people inside the athletic department leaked the Schiano news, along with other rumors, because they knew it was a disaster in the making.

The one person you can bet any coaching candidate called was Fulmer, and you can bet he was honest about what was really going on behind the threadbare curtain.

It appears Haslam himself torpedoed the Brohm deal (when Brohm asked UT to keep it quiet until he could get back to his team) by reporting it to Jimmy Hyams. That leak apparently spooked Brohm.

This is YUUUGE! Vol Nation has won the war!

A supreme irony of this whole UT mess is that most Buckeyes fans are, like me, also huge Browns fans. We are all extremely angry at UT for how they handled the Schiano hiring/firing or whatever you would call it and everything else. While gratified at what UT and Vols fans are experiencing now, we all share with them similar absolute disdain for Jimmy Haslam and want him out. Although the Browns were bad since they returned to the NFL, that particular Haslam dumpster fire has grown to be a Cuyahoga River fire.

Lol. osu fans can get glad in the same pants they got mad in. Fact is UT dodged a cyanide-laced bullet that would have set the program back even farther.. for years. Any respectable fan base in the nation would have reacted the same way. You don't touch someone who coached at PediState with a 10' pole. Unless you're the man who used to run a Florida halfway house with Aaron Hernandez as the star inmate.

You can't make this stuff up folks :)

You dont see it this way but Phillip Fulmer was doing what had to be done to save his beloved University from completely dying.

It wasn't just Fulmer. There are people inside the athletic department who were helping him. Then there were the orange bleeding reporters and fans on social media. This is how a big dictatorial booster is taken down.
