Unknown Dies

I was going through some old stuff of mine and came across a die set without a box. The caliber isn't marked on the dies. Does anyone know the best way to find out the caliber? It's close to a 30-06

Use a piece of sacrificial brass that's close in size, lube it up good, and run it through. Measure dimensions and compare to what the reloading manual tells you the SAAMI specs are

Also you could take the depriming pin/expander ball out and see what the diameter is to get a general idea of what you have at least as far as the caliber might be.
