I made this housing out of an empty plastic peanut butter jar. Had to make the seal water tight (so far so good) and some padding to hold the camera in place. That's all there is to it... only complaint is a slight reflection of the lens in the video.

I figured this little, clear-water pond stocked full of >10 pound grass carp would be a great place to take a video. I was right - the video was clear and I hooked a fish within a minute and it took about 12 minutes to land.

The video is whittled down to a more bearable 5 minutes for those who want to see it. Due to the cooler weather, I think, this carp was sluggish at first but warmed up and fought hard for a while.

Thanks.

Roger - I got a friend who lives there. Gonna meet up with him soon and coach him through getting his own grass carp on the line. Also took my 4 year old sister there a few weeks ago, and let her reel in a hybrid bluegill. Let's just say she had been pretty patient while I fought with a grass carp first

yup. Did you notice that once you catch one carp, it's just about impossible to catch another? They are fed so they will eat when you feed them but once one is spooked, they all are spooked.

Now that you mention it we do alway just catch 1 real quick and ir slows way down.
they're smart fish, been caught a bunch of times. Next time I go down there I'll let my friend who lives there get first dibs on a carp.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX75. In other words, a very decent point and shoot for the money. 14.1 megapixels and 720p HD video. Well worth the $150 which is pretty cheap.

Any pics of the housing
might do a vid or just take some pics of it soon. Since it's on youtube there could be people asking how to make it. I'd rather work on making a more comfortable seal and testing the container at greater depths over longer time periods without the camera so I can see what the limitations are.
