Pasture/plots are nice and green with all the rain.
Oats are coming up nicely!
Fescue is coming in slowly.
Will ladino clover is coming on.... I think....
Crimson Clover is coming on..... I think.....

Looks like tiny clover only the edges of the leaves are irregular not smooth like any other clovers I have seen. Almost like parsley????

Is that normal for those kinds of clover?
Maybe it is something else that was already there?
Perhaps a mix up at the co-op?

I hope it is just normal growing stage of those kinds of clover. Otherwise my clover isn't doing well but this "weed" is coming on strong.

Ladino and crimson should both be three leaved clovers. The Ladino will have light markings closer to the stem. I've never seen them have ragged edges.

Why fescue?

Its not vetch, have a little patch of that naturally on the west side of the property. Deer tear it up every time they pass through that spot.

Imagine a clover only with frilly edges to the leaves. The varigated color hasn't come in yet either. Just solid green.

I've got a ton of it in my clover plot... seems to prefer a little more shade/moisture. Regardless of what the weed is called, the deer will pound it. I dont' think it'll be a problem in a food plot.

Henbit has made a definite resurgence in my garden his description reminds me i had some of the same looking parsley coming up and it reminded me of baby rag weed!!!

Looks similar to henbit but the surface of the leaves are smooth.

Hmmm Ill try and swim out to the back and get a pic tomorrow. :D
