what gun and choke are yal shooting? I shoot a Mossberg 835 with a rhino choke then my back up is a stoeger m2000 with a jelly head choke but will probably get a rhino choke for it soon. I shoot hevi shot magnum blend out of both.

Browning pump 10 ga. With a kicks. 690 and handloads, federal hw #7s, Winchester lead, hevi shot. All depends on the situation.

NEF pardner pump 12 gauge with xx full accu choke and Winchester supreme 3" 5 or 6 shot. Comfortable at 20 yd but have killed em out to 45.

My dedicated turkey gun is a 1999 Model Remington 870 Special Purpose 3.5" in Mossy Oak Break-Up camo. It has a 23" bbl sporting an Indian Creek .665 choke. I have so many fond memories of this gun that it would take a boat load of money for me to separate with it. It has been flawless over the last 13 springs; wish I could say the same about myself in the turkey woods. :)

Browning bps 12 with the factory xx full choke, never saw a need to buy another since I have kills out to 60 yards with it

Muddyboots you got a pic of that rig? Also what's the barrel length and how does she shoot?

Everyone said the 2 7/16 loads didn't do to good in the remington so was just wondering.

My 870 SP setup mentioned above shoots the H517 ammo (2 7/16 oz) like a dream. Good dense patterns with little to no voids in it. I have been thoroughly impressed with these shells in my gun. The only negative is target shooting as the 2 7/16 ounce loads kill on both ends when shooting at paper. Not so much, when a long beard is the target.

Ill take a pic of it and post it. I bought some of the 2 7/16 loads by mistake and when i shot the first one i thought wow that kicked more but the pattern was awesome. After some investigation i figured out what had happenned. I posted a pattern last year and a guy said i was lying so i try not to do that anymore but its bad!

I agree, the factory choke in the BPS works as well as any in that gun.

NEF single shot with a standard fixed full choke has been my all time favorite turkey gun shooting Kent 2 3/4, 1 1/2 ounce of #5 lead pheasant loads.

I killed 2 long beards this fall with my M2 20 gauge shooting Hevi shot and the factory full choke. The M2 20 is my second gun of choice.

After turkey hunting with these 2 guns, I don't want to ever use a repeating 12 gauge again.
