Tuff job in Alaska but someone has to do it.

Alaska or bust!
Kenai river, Soldotna, AK. Son and I called it quits at 8. He caught 5, 3 for me. Nice sized sockeyes. They averaged about 8 pounds. Enough for us to last the winter. Fishing was spotty as it took us about 5 hours to land 8 that were fair hooked.
Might try fishing for silvers tomorrow.
It is sooooo nice fishing when the temperature is in the 60's.

In a river hopefully!
Excellent! And to think those brown bears catch them in the air at Brooks.

Congrats and what guide service did you use or just your knowledge from living up there?

No guides. After fishing here for over 35 years think I got the hang of it:)
All were caught on fly rods, flipping a hook with a piece of yarn tied to it and the right size rubber core sinker.
