So I picked up a new rifle, Mossberg Patriot in 375 Ruger. Have lots of stuff to start loading but ran into a weird problem.
Hornady sells a factory load using their own 250 Grain GMX. This has gotten good reviews, so ordered a box of bullets. Wanting to take a look at published load data before trusting anything the internet recommend.

Alliant Reloader 15 (the perferred powder for this caliber), doesn't list a load, only for the 375 H&H.
Hornady's own reloading manual does not even show a load for this bullet. Only 225, 270 and 300gr.

Why would they not even show a load in their reloading manual for a bullet that they make?

This is from a Lyman book. You could probably call hornady for additional data. They may even have spot online but I wouldn't count on it

Thanks! I'll contact them, also.
I didn't know if they didn't publish it because they sold a complete cartridge in that weight. Kind a non-compete deal.
I'll start on my loads when the brass gets in.

I sent them an email. Will report back.

Update:
Here is the response. They had asked what components I planned on using and told them RL-15 (which is the most common powder for this caliber).

We would recommend using either Varget with a start load of 62.3gr and a max of 69.7gr or Win 748 with a start load of 65.3gr and a max of 72.4gr. We don't have data using RL-15 at this time. We appreciate your business.
Thanks again

So, it gets me started. I already have two canisters of Varget from 5.56 loading (weird how the same powder can be used over such a wide range of calibers and charges).
Makes me wonder what other data they are holding on to? :-)
